Allot to Eat was born in 2018 in Manchester, England. The key aims are:

  • To create seasonal recipes that are easy to cook at home
  • To provide tips for gardening your own vegetables
  • to provide a collection of good, long lasting kitchen and garden implements for sale.
  • To encourage you to grow and cook your own produce.

Growing your own food is easy, satisfying and beneficial. Best of all it does not need to take up a lot of time. the amount of people who ask how long I spend on my allotment indicates the massive concern that people will not have the time to look after their growing space.

However I have a full time job, a 2 year old daughter, this business, a hobby cooking and I manage to get to the allotment once or twice a week. If I can do it, so can you. 2 hours a week lets me keep on top of my allotment, and by planting the right veg, little effort is needed to do much else.

But if you are worried, why not use a small area in your garden to plant a few courgettes? or an apple tree against that exposed wall? Or if you live in a flat or have no garden, why not have some inside herbs, a truly useful addition to your kitchen.

Spend a bit of time, have a look around, and if you are still unsure of what to do, buy one of the consultation packages. we look forward to hearing from you.
